Able currently sells Standard, Fine and Fine XL DISK variants. Fine uses a 152-micron pattern; Fine XL provides the larger AeroPress XL format, while the Standard style uses larger 254-micron holes.

Able's current care guidance recommends rinsing, using soap to clear oils and grounds from the holes, air drying, and notes that the DISK is dishwasher safe. That replaces older blanket advice that rinsing is inherently insufficient.

Compatibility comes before cup character

The old version of this page treated standard-size AeroPress accessories too generically.

Current documentation shows several different compatibility rules. AeroPress standard paper and Gold Tone filters exclude XL. Able sells a separate Fine XL DISK. Fellow says Prismo is not compatible with AeroPress Go or XL and also excludes 2005-2009 AeroPress units.

Check the exact brewer first; a highly rated accessory that does not fit is not an upgrade.

Flow-control caps solve drip-through

The official AeroPress Flow Control cap and Fellow Prismo both use pressure-actuated valves to hold liquid back before pressing.
